Has anyone done direct mail?

Someone has sent direct mail pieces such as postcards, with a house by mail? or have you done to yourself ... What is the process, does anyone recommend a home printer or by mail?

I made postcards and brochures. You can get mailing lists of several suppliers, and can be used milaing a house or do it yourself, you just need a bulk mail permit that extends around 50.00 last time I got one. There are some seminars of spam, I took a Stanford University. Very helpful in designing your ad, how to read your response, and how to analyze their customers.
