Three Steps to Successful Direct Mail
Direct mail remains the number one marketing strategy used by many companies selling successful. With direct mail, you have total control over the presentation of his message. Direct mail is a unique blend of advertising and sales. While good advertising must surely lead to sales, direct mail allows you to present your product or service, make an offer and try to close the sale "at a time!
These are just some of the advantages of direct mail as a marketing strategy:

Allows you to target your message to a very specific audience.

Direct mail is a relatively cheap.

Direct mail messages can be personalized to add reader appeal.

You can evaluate their effectiveness. You can track exactly who responded and from where.

Mail readers are actively involved. People read your mail, when they want. Thus, at least one or two seconds, the message will have all their attention while they open and scan.
There are three elements for effective Direct Marketing strategy:

The Offer
3.
The mail piece
The first of these three steps to a successful direct mail campaign is to obtain the list on the right. Targeting the right market is key to this marketing strategy. In selecting the list to ensure that target those most likely to be interested in what you have to offer, and some things in common with your current customers.
This common ground might be age, sex, occupation, income, geographic area, family size, the magazines they subscribe or any number other demographic data. You can get lists that are specific to the demographics of your target market in particular.
You should also keep one for up-to-date list of all customers and clients. Direct mail to this list can create additional business, introduce new products and services or the promotion of sales or offers special.
The second step of this marketing strategy is the development of a "matching offer."
The offer you make in your inbox live must be carefully considered and matched as possible to the interests, needs and motivation of people on the list. The more specifically you match supply and list the higher the response rate.
Let me use an example to demonstrate. When I was a mortgage consultant thousands of sales people office direct mailings. Another format alone is even more simple and less expensive is a postcard or a postcard large. This can be an economical way to communicate with its list of clients and customers.
The next step in the development of your mail piece is to write the copy or present your offer. Writing is a skill valuable. I urge you to develop the ability to write good advertising text. Here are some tips to get started.

Take proven sales letters and ads and rewrite them to suit you and your offer.

Create a file of hit success of ads and letters. When you see an ad call attention to save it.

Save your "Junk". Much of this is written by the best writers in the world.

Subscribe to the National Inquirer, Star, Globe, etc. Advertisements for these publications pull in millions of dollars in orders.

Make sure your message matches your market. This means your offer has to have the perceived value of their perspective.

Use plenty of evidence in your ad copy.
*
The title is the most important part of any ad or letter.
*
