career guidance ...?

Hello again! I wanted to know what everyone thought ... I have 3 years experience of owning my own business in the advertising company I direct mail, a magazine published every month and I am a graphic designer .. NO I have a degree and I find it hard to find a job with a company as a graphic designer .. I also have previous experience (about 3 years) and Executive Assistant, Administration, and Assistant Recept Human Resources ... that is what is keeping me at the moment ... I DESPERATELY NOT want to be at the administrative level in everything I hate LOL ... Does anyone have any suggestions to get into the creative field who lives in Ohio and thought maybe taking some classes at night and the addition of Web Design to my plate and possibly working in my portfolio in a wide range of more than things I've done .. Thanks for your help!

You have to prove the talent, if you do not have the degree. Get that portfolio together and show it off. Also I have extensive experience but no degree, so I try to use my words and accomplishments to land me a position. I took examples of my work at my first interview with a company on Monday, and called today for the final) interview tomorrow (in second place. There were about 100 people or more in the first round ... three positions! They are only doing interviews in second place with 10 people. Although I do not understand, I beat 90 people for consideration. I have to think about the mini-portfolio helped me! Try it for what it has to offer. Good luck.
