Possible dumb questions about life in Phoenix?
I'm thinking of moving to Arizona in a few months, but had a couple of questions for those living there. Silly Question 1) For a lot of heat, a friend told me that although it would save money on rent, I would have to pay hundreds of dollars more on air conditioning. Now this person is my boss and she is trying to talk about movement, so I do not know if she is trying to scare me, but it actually costs both for air conditioning? I am considering a one bedroom apartment. At this point I have to pay between $ 90-120 for utilities. Can anyone advise me if I "really" be paying a lot more if I move to the Phoenix area. 2) I work in advertising, and with a solid background in Direct Mail advertising. Someone knows what the job market is for publicity work. 3) Chandler or Mesa? Or maybe some other people do not know of its existence? I am looking for nice apartment in a neighborhood quiet and safe. four) What is the daily trip in Phoenix like? Thank you for your help.
I live in Phoenix in a 2 bedroom house with vaulted ceilings that go up 16 meters at its highest point. Listed below are my APS electricity bills for 2005. You can choose your type. My rhythm is it that charged less for power can be used during off peak. Also they will adverage your monthly bill as they charge the same every month if you want. January $ 119.49 February $ 86.61 March $ 66.99 April $ 82.03 May June July $ 112.68 $ 165.87 $ 230.38 $ 220.30 $ 186.93 August September October November $ 93.91 December $ 90.46 $ 129.88 I have a full power the house without gas. The heating / cooling is an electric heat pump and electric water heater. As you can see the bills are high during 3 months, but low the rest of the year. Phoenix is Arizona's largest city and largest city 5th in the United States. Other citys around Phoenix Glendale Scottsdale, Peoria and Tempe. Like any major city of Phoenix have too motorways in rush hour traffic, but can move very quickly at other times. Some major employers in the Phoenix area Honeywell, USA Airways, Intel and Motorola.
